DS Modding Scene Still Alive!

Thursday, February 19th, 2009

With the upcoming release of the Nintendo DSi, you would think that people interested in the original DS and DS Lite would stop buying stuff for it. You’re wrong! The newer modding tools are designed to be compatible with not only the Nintendo DS (phat) and Nintendo DS Lite, but also the upcoming Nintendo DSi. I used to be big in the modding scene and had a few favorite shops, and one of those favorites closed down :( . However, I recently revisited the site and it looks like they’re gearing up for the DSi release and started it back up. Check them out at http://www.modmydsi.com – I recently spoke to a customer service representative and things look like they haven’t changed a bit – still great customer service and great prices!

Triwing Screwdrivers for Sale!

Tuesday, December 4th, 2007

I have a handful of triwing screwdrivers for sale – for those who don’t know, its a tool that opens a special three-headed screw. These types of screws are security screws generally found in Nintendo devices, but some cell phones have them as well. Here’s a list of the Nintendo devices that I know for sure have this screw, although I’m sure others do as well.

Gameboy Color
Gameboy Advance
Gameboy Advance SP
Gameboy Micro
Nintendo DS
Nintendo DS Lite
Gamecube Controllers and Systems
Nintendo Wii Remote and Systems

And of course, the picture:

Anyway, I usually have a listing or two on eBay that contains these screwdrivers, but I’m willing to sell them off of eBay as well. Leave a comment if you’re interested, and be sure to include your e-mail address to I can get in touch with you. They are $4.95 shipped via USPS First Class which takes roughly 5-7 days to arrive, and I only accept PayPal for payments. US customers only. Thanks!

List of Rumble Enabled Games on the DS

Thursday, September 27th, 2007

I recently acquired a DS Lite Rumble Pak, and decided to look around to see if I could find a compiled list of which games utilize this feature. After stumbling upon the Wikipedia article about the Rumble Pak itself, I was greeted without a list of games. Now, Wikipedia is a great source for info and you would think that it should be there. At least thats what I thought. So I started looking through the history of the article, and some idiot decided to remove the section with the list. As of 9/27/07 (today, the day I accessed the page) here is what the list shows for games supporting rumble:

Clubhouse Games (also known as 42 All-Time Classics in Europe)
Custom Robo Arena
Diddy Kong Racing DS
Elite Beat Agents
Hotel Dusk: Room 215
The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning
Magnetica (aka Actionloop)
Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time
Metroid Prime Pinball
Metroid Prime: Hunters
Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii: Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2
Picross DS
Star Fox Command
Star Trek: Tactical Assault
Super Princess Peach

I purposely left out the last one on the list (Puzzlepic) as it didn’t have an info page about it and I couldn’t find any information about the game on Google. I also reverted the article back to what it used to be, but lets see how long that lasts.
