The Nyko Wii Charge Station is probably one of the best accessories you can pick up for your Wii. Especially if you play your Wii a lot. It takes about 3-4 hours to charge the battery to full charge (from the time its completely dead). The only thing I noticed is that the specifications don’t really state how long the battery life is. So, I decided to do a few test runs and have found that the average lifespan of the battery while playing strictly Super Mario Galaxy
is 17 hours and 24 minutes. In my opinion, that’s really good, considering that SMG uses not only the Nunchuck accessory, but also uses the pointer feature of the Wii remote, which drains a lot more power in combination with the nunchuck. Without the nunchuck accessory (and pointing), while playing Excite Truck
, the battery life lasted about 50 hours. Not bad at all! Definitely worth a purchase, as it pays for itself after only a few charge cycles.

Saturday, January 19th, 2008Triwing Screwdrivers for Sale!
Tuesday, December 4th, 2007I have a handful of triwing screwdrivers for sale – for those who don’t know, its a tool that opens a special three-headed screw. These types of screws are security screws generally found in Nintendo devices, but some cell phones have them as well. Here’s a list of the Nintendo devices that I know for sure have this screw, although I’m sure others do as well.
Gameboy Color
Gameboy Advance
Gameboy Advance SP
Gameboy Micro
Nintendo DS
Nintendo DS Lite
Gamecube Controllers and Systems
Nintendo Wii Remote and Systems
And of course, the picture:

Anyway, I usually have a listing or two on eBay that contains these screwdrivers, but I’m willing to sell them off of eBay as well. Leave a comment if you’re interested, and be sure to include your e-mail address to I can get in touch with you. They are $4.95 shipped via USPS First Class which takes roughly 5-7 days to arrive, and I only accept PayPal for payments. US customers only. Thanks!
Super Mario Bros. 3 on Wii!!
Monday, November 5th, 2007Super Mario Bros. 3 has (finally) been released on Wii’s Virtual Console! Quite possibly one of the best games available of all time, the game is available for only 500 points on the system. Along with the original game, a few short minigames are included which really make it a sweet deal. I just downloaded my copy, and I know I’ll be playing for a really.. REALLY long time (or at least until Super Mario Galaxy is released next week!!)
I found out about it originally because of DigitalBattle.com, thanks you guys for posting about it!
Super Mario Bros. – The Lost Levels
Tuesday, October 16th, 2007This was probably the biggest surprise launch I have seen on a Nintendo system in the USA. This game was released as Super Mario Bros. 2 in Japan, as a sequel to the original Mario Bros. we all know and love. Most Nintendo gamers have encountered this game in the past – Super Mario All-Stars had an “upgraded” version of this game, with better graphics. Super Mario Bros. Deluxe for Gameboy Color also had this game as an unlockable. A few other versions of this game are out there as well, but for the first time in US history this game was released as the original Japanese import version on the Wii Virtual Console. It was released October 1st (2007), and costs 600 Wii points. Definitely worth every penny.
Since it was released on VC, I decided I wanted to play it on my DS and my cell phone whenever I wasn’t near the TV, so I went on a hunt for the ROM. After searching for approximately 6 days in a row, I was about to give up and just deal with having to play this game strictly at home. However, I finally found the ROM, patched it with an IPS patch to restore the start menu screen, and now its on my DS, my phone, and on my computer – so I can play whenever and wherever I want. It’s definitely an extremely addicting game, and if I had an NES I would definitely find an imported version somewhere (though it might cost a bit!)
I strongly suggest picking it up ASAP off of Nintendo Wii’s Virtual Console, as they may remove it after a short while, like they did to the Australians and Europeans. If all else fails, just search for the ROM and play that – just remember that piracy is bad, and you should own the original copy of the game if you play a backup of it.
